It is in our experience that this is not a viable option for most realtors as the budget required is far higher than real estate social mediamost other options in the realm of social media. But not only that. Linkedin has always been a great lead generation asset for B2B however before it becomes productive for anyone they must first invest a tremendous amount of time. Things like profile completion and gaining connections in a network notorious for restricting your ability to “network” unless of course you already know the people.

But doesn’t that defeat the purpose of getting out and networking? Isn’t networking about meeting new and interesting people?

Realtors that engage people online in their own communities are ALWAYS the most successful. Using social engagement can take a realtor from nobody to rockstar in short succession.

Online marketing has amplified the realtors ability to be seen and at the same time made it a lot easier when trying to garner business in their community once people recognize them from their online activities.

The Real Estate SEO has managed a tremendous amount of advertising dollars and there is no doubt that by far, the cheapest CPL (cost per lead) comes from social activity. There is an exception however and that is email marketing. This form of direct marketing has always been the most affordable means of acquiring leads however can prove difficult for those starting out with a scarce Rolodex.

This is not to say that email marketing should be ignored because ultimately the leads you generate via social all end up in your CMS and from there should be nurtured. But we’ll talk about this in more detail in a future article.
